I think 1120 The Sinking of the White Ship was in there too..
871 -901 Alfred the Great
Very impressive memory - my only comment is that I think 1620 was listed as The Voyage of the Mayflower - and was not Joan of Arc in 1429 - at least on the date card?
Catching up belatedly: (and who can not forget this encapsulated and in modern terms rather infamous glorification of the British world view).
Here are some missing dates that I remember.
: 1095 - The First Crusade
: 1628 - Petition of Rights
: 1689 - Bill of Rights
: 1704 - The Capture of Gibraltar (and something else)
: 1707 - Union with Scotland
: 1757 - The Battle of Plassey
: 1759 - The Taking of Quebec
: 1809 - Union with Ireland
I don't remember anything from 1120, or the Black Hole of Calcutta.
I think (or maybe just hope) that the Crimean War was in there for 1854, but don't remember clearly. I was in Balaclava and Sevastopol earlier this month.
